Johnnie Walker

Two Johnnie Walker campaigns for Analog Folk varying in scope and execution

Role: VFX/Line Producer from brief to final delivery

This was my first ever proper VFX project!
We were briefed very quickly and after a few days of staring at storyboards and discussing VFX execution internally, the shoot was already happening on another continent. We had to take care of VFX supervision so we had someone on-site and were being streamed the entire shoot to oversee from a distance as well. Within about a week and a half, we needed to have all shots done and delivered to editorial.

Our task was to work on liquid transitions and creating a trail that expresses the light and energy that Johnnie Walker Blonde brings to a party. It was a lot of shots and alternates (due to a lot of versioning) but we ended up with a fun an impactful set of short ads.

We were also approached with another Johnnie Walker project called AirInk in which artists from all over the world were commissioned to design bottle artworks for a limited series release all using ink formed by air pollution.

This project was quite an impressive ask due to the scale of it. We had to make a lot of assets for each phase of the marketing campaign for each country, to tease the release, showcase the bottle and then emphasise it. This ended up with a bit more than 300 deliverables over 10 markets due to versioning and formats.

Here are a few examples of the films made for this campaign:
